Completely different portfolio review!

Krakow Photomonth and Lodz Fotofestiwal would like to invite you for the first, joint edition of the portfolio review in a new form: PHOTO-MATCH: Portfolio Review 2020 / Online edition. The reviewers were invited by both festivals. Meetings and consultations will take place in the virtual space and will be held in Fotofestiwal’s PHOTO-MATCH convention; thanks to which all of the artist and reviewers will be able to meet each other.  

Fotofestiwal has been developing a new formula of portfolio reviews for the past 3 years under the name PHOTO-MATCH, which gives all the participants a possibility to introduce themselves and present their work to all of the experts and artists in the review. This element will be introduced also in the special, online version. Portfolio Review is also renowned as a flagship event in Krakow Photomonth’s program. In previous years amongst it’s finalists were Łukasz Rusznica, Wiktoria Wojciechowska and Wiktor Dąbrowski. An exhibition “Anger Detracts from Her Beauty (Złość piękności szkodzi)” by last year’s Portfolio Review winner – Weronika Perłowska has joined the Main Program of the festival this year.

Submissions are open until the 30th of June 2020. The review will take place on the 7th of August and the participants will be able to become familiar with the presentations of other attendees four days prior to the event. The review’s winner will be awarded an opportunity of organising their own exhibition during future editions of both Lodz Fotofestiwal and Krakow Photomonth in 2021. Fotofestiwal this year will take place between 6th and 23rd of August. You can visit the exhibitions from the main program in Art_Inkubator on Tymienieckiego 3, they will also be shared online. Second part of the exhibitions will be held in co-hosting locations (Museum of Art in Łódź, Motyl UŁ) will be open in October.

Krakow Photomonth is currently on since 21st of May. In response to the new, dynamic situation the convention of the festival has been modified. Pre planned events and talks are taking place online. For regular viewing of exhibition we have to wait until the 26th of June.
